There are times when a homeschooling mom wonders if she is really hearing from the Lord.
There are times you wonder if the sacrifice is worth it.
Then the day comes and you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you did hear,
and every second, every tear, was worth it.
It's the day your son with a learning disability goes off to college. It's the day your son is an overcomer, and an achiever,
the day he comes to you with direction and knows what the Lord is calling him to do.
August 19, 2017 we dropped Levi off at Trinity Bible College
for a gap year/missions training program for 9 months.
We checked him into the dorms, went to all the parent meetings, met the other kids in Pack Your Bags, prayed over them,
and drove away!!
All of the sudden the short drive seemed like we were leaving him in New York City.
I cried for most of the two hours back home to Bismarck.
Tears of joy, tears of letting go,
tears of knowing that it was all going to be okay,
tears of uncertainty that it really will be okay,
and tears of a bittersweet moment that every mom feels-
elation that you really managed raise this kid to be a man of God, and the moment you have to let go,
and let God be his go to Person.
