Most days I wonder how I keep up with myself, my job, the boys, Eric and the new business!
And don't forget, I still have one kid I homeschool full-time!
I keep soldiering on, I have learned to "roll with it" and Eric has learned to slow down and give me a heads up, not make sudden changes. It's taken 22 years~but at least we figured it out.
March 1, 2017 we will move into a house that we didn't build.
There have been so many determining factors on the choice not to build, but the biggest issue--we need trees!!
We found a lot, as in land, we liked, it had enough trees to suffice, but felt it was overpriced.
Eric is a builder. He has built hundreds of houses, as well as commercial buildings. As we went through the process of choosing finishes, and building in general, he found it difficult to pay retail price to have a home built.
I was watching the real estate market and checking for houses that met our criteria daily. There was nothing out there that worked. It was so discouraging.
Add to the disappointment, my migraines were back (probably due to the stress of a sudden move and eating out too much)
the neighbor had a dog that was barking all day starting at 6AM and ending at midnight-there were times it would stop during the day-but it was more than I could take. Eric went out of town on a whim. He was going to go talk to the neighbor about the barking, but forgot in the craziness of leaving .
At 6:45AM I called animal control. I was that neighbor :(
It was miserable and awkward. I think the most annoying part of the situation, the dog hasn't barked once!
I was stressed beyond belief for so many reasons. I decided we were moving into a different rental house.
In the process of searching for the new rental house, I found a listing for a house that had been posted in the wrong area!
My heart raced, I knew this was IT!! This was our house, land and TREES, glorious trees!!
I sent an email immediately, we scheduled an appointment, and began the paperwork!
Can you say "that which the devil meant for evil, the Lord used for good"?
Things are fine with the neighbor, and the no longer barking dog.
I've got a new tab on my blog where I will post pictures of our remodel and development of our mini hobby farm!
Check back soon to see my newest artistic endeavour~
